Rasheda Chowdhury to return after long break

After a long break, the renowned senior film actor Rasheda Chowdhury is coming back to the film industry through a new film. She will be seen in an important role in the film upcoming film ‘Omanush Holo Manush’ directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar.

Rasheda Chowdhury said, “I have been working on this film for several days now. I heard it will go to the censor soon. Just by hearing the film’s title ‘Omanush Holo Manush’ tells you how the story is going to be. I have previously worked in films under Montazur Rahman Akbar bhai’s direction. I like working under his guidance. Many actors including Dipjal will be seen in the movie. The film turned out really well. I hope the audience will like the movie when it is released.”

Rasheda started her career back in 1984. She had been a prominent face in our media industry for three decades now. Right after her marriage she landed a role in the film ‘Prem Kahini’ directed by Dara Shikoh. She got the opportunity after competing in the popular talent hunt show ‘notun Mukher Shondhane.’ There was no turning back for her after that.

Rasheda said, “I am always satisfied with my position. My husband is a very big-hearted person so he gave me the opportunity to work on films after our marriage. Also, my sincere gratitude to all my film producers, directors, and colleagues. With the help of everyone and my sincere efforts, I am the Rasheda Chowdhury everyone knows today. Today the audience loves me, and respects me - what can be a greater achievement in life than that.”

Rasheda’s television drama career started with Salahuddin Lavlu’s popular comedy daily soap ‘Bhober Haat.’ Her brilliant performance in Lavlu’s ‘Har Kipte’ also put her under the spotlight.

She also acted in more than 100 films including ‘Tawba,’ ‘Dak Diye Jai,’ ‘Padma Meghna Jamuna,’ ‘Biroho Byatha,’ ‘Bhaggoboti,’ ‘Madam Fuli,’ ‘Bichchu Bahini,’ ‘Khude Joddha,’ ‘Swapner Bashor,’ among others.
