Toya essays acid attack survivor’s role in ‘Eksho Goz’

Actress Mumtaheena Chowdhury Toya has appeared as an acid attack survivor in a TV play titled ‘Eksho Goz’ directed by Shorjo Depto.

Along with Toya, the drama also features actor Irfan Sajjad depicting the role of a visually-impaired youth. It has Tonmoy Sohel, Nahid Nazim, Ahona Khan, among others, in various other roles.

Written and directed by Shorjo Depto, the drama was shot in the capital’s Uttara and its adjacent areas recently.

The story revolves around a visually-impaired youth named ‘Pratik’, played by Irfan Sajjad and a girl named Tushi who survived an acid attack, portrayed by Toya.

The drama ‘Eksho Goz’ sheds lights on how the differently abled people face negligence and also offered sympathy by others in their life. Though they are supposed to lead a normal life like others in the society.

In a surprising turn of events, Tushi meets Pratik who later turn into friends.

Produced by Shakhawat Hossain Showkat under the banner of ‘S Uncommon Multimedia’, the drama was aired on Maasranga television on Friday night.
