Wishing a happy birthday to Ankhi Alamgir

Popular singer Ankhi Alamgir celebrates her birthday today. As her birthday comes in the first week of the year, the occasion is usually celebrated in a grand manner each time. But this time the singer will celebrate her birthday differently as she will be busy performing a show at Barisal today.

Regarding her birthday Ankhi Alamgir said, ‘I will be busy performing a show in Barishal. I am grateful to everyone for the love and affection they have given to me. I request everyone to continue supporting me so that I can keep performing and providing quality songs to my audience. I am seeking everyone’s prayers for my Birthday. I love my listeners and fans very much and they are like family to her. I am nothing without my fans.”

Last Eid, Ankhi Alamgir released a new song ‘Piya Giyechhe Dubai’. Indian lyricist Priyo Chattopadhyay wrote the lyrics of the song while the music arrangement and composition has been done by Indian music composer Akassh Sen. The music video of the song was released on Dhruba Music Station.

Ankhi Alamgir debuted singing playback in 1994. Her first album was launched in 1997 and the second one, titled ‘Bisher Kata’ in 1998.

She won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the film Ekti Cinemar Golpo (2018).
