Bangladesh Cricket Board is communicating with their counterparts in Oman to organise a preparation camp there for the Tigers ahead of the upcoming World T20, said the BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
Though India was originally selected to host the World T20 this year, the increasing number of covid cases in India forced BCCI to shift the venue to Oman and UAE.
The Oman Cricket Academy Ground is the proposed venue for the WT20, where the round one matches of the group ‘B’ might take place as the hosts are drawn in that group with Bangladesh, Scotland and Papua New Guinea.
BCB CEO Nizamuddin told the media on Wednesday that they are in talks with WT20 hosts for a pre-camp.
“At present, we are communicating with ICC and the hosts for the Wt20. There are some issues regarding covid protocols, what would be the quarantine duration and other issues. We are working on these matters. We can let you know once things are finalised,” said the CEO.
