Bangladesh slides to 188

Bangladesh Football team slides to 188th position of the FIFA world rankings, published on Thursday. The red and greens lost 4 places as they were on 184 according to the rankings published in May.

In June, Bangladesh played against Oman, India, Qatar and Afghanistan in the group E qualifier for the 2023 Asian Cup where the lost to Oman, Qatar and India by heavy margins and managed to draw only against Afghanistan. Italy and Argentina reaped off the gains from their continental triumph. Italy moved up two places and now on 5th place and Argentina also climbed two steps and now on 6th place. Belgium is still on top of FIFA rankings. –TBP
