BCB to arrange more youth matches

Bangladesh Cricket Board is trying to arrange more matches for the Under-19 team ahead of the Youth World Cup scheduled to take place in West Indies in 2022.

Times of India reported that the Indian cricket board is trying to host a Tri-Nation tournament with the U-19 teams from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. CEO of BCB, Nizamuddin Chowdhury, did not rule out the probability.

“We are trying to organize more matches before the World Cup. We are in talks with various boards. Our concern department is working, and communication has already begun with few countries,” said the CEO.

The Bangladesh U-19 team is scheduled to play a five-match youth one-day series against Afghanistan followed by a four-day match in the next month. -TBP
