Former Bangladesh national hockey team player and former joint secretary of Bangladesh Hockey Federation Anvir Adel Khan passed away on Friday at the age of 65 after suffering from a brain hemorrhage.
Anvir had been suffering from various diseases including cardiac complications for some time and was being treated at the Labaid Hospital in Dhaka. He left behind his wife and two children.
His former club Dhaka Abahani Limited expressed their condolences on his passing away and extended their sympathy towards his family.
Anvir was a goalkeeper during his playing days. He played for the Bangladesh team in the 1978 Asian Games.
