A group of Afghanistan Under-19 players arrived in Bangladesh on Sunday ahead of their series against the Bangladesh U-19 team.

Eight Afghan players arrived in the first group and have already reached Sylhet and are in in-room quarantine, Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Game Development manager AEM Kawsar told The Business Post.

“The Afghanistan Under-19 team are coming in groups. A group of eight players have arrived today. Another group, including the coaching staff, will arrive tonight (Sunday),” Kawsar told TBP.

Kawsar also informed that the whole Afghan contingent will arrive by Monday evening.

“All their groups will arrive by tomorrow (Monday) evening and then go to Sylhet where they will be in quarantine for three days,” he added.

Bangladesh U-19 will face the Afghans in five one-day internationals before a four-day match. The series will start on September 10 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
