Bangladesh national team will face the under-23 team of Kyrgyzstan in their last match of the 3-match tour after being thrashed by the senior side on Tuesday.
Jamal Bhuyan and his men suffered a 4-1 defeat by the hands of Kyrgyzstan national team on Tuesday night. Now they will face the U-23 side of the hosts in their last match of the tour which is a preparation camp for upcoming SAFF championship.
Bangladesh head coach Jamie Day told the media that these matches will give the national team players some experience of handling tough opponents ahead of the regional tournament.
“We knew it that Kyrgyzstan and Palestine are tough opponents but our players have also made some good defending. We are taking a lot of experience and learnings from this tour” he said in a press conference on Wednesday.
Echoing the English coach, Bishwanath Ghosh, a defender playing for Bangladesh said, “We gave our best in the last two matches but lost both. Now, we are trying to bounce back. We have one more match left tomorrow (today). We will try to end the tour well with a better result.”
Forward Suman Reza thinks the experience from Kyrgyzstan tour will help the team for upcoming SAFF championship by saying, “We stayed at Kirgizstan for SAFF Championship preparation. Had eight to ten training sessions, played two matches though the results were not satisfactory. But for better preparation, the coach fielded everyone.”
Earlier Bangladesh lost to Palestine by 2-0, and later on Tuesday, to Kyrgyzstan national team by 4-1.
The match will start at 8:30pm Bangladesh Standard Time at Dolen Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
