Crystal Palace defeated Tottenham Hotspurs 3-0 at Selhurst Park on Saturday as the Premier League returned after the international break.
The first half ended goalless but there was drama at the start of the second half. Spurs defender Japhet Tanganga conceded two yellow cards in the span of five minutes to see himself sent off.
10-man Spurs then sunk into deeper trouble as Ben Davies fouled Conor Gallagher to hand Palace a penalty. Wilfired Zaha converted from the spot to give Palace the lead.
He then set up Odsonne Edouard for the second goal and Edouard, on his debut for the club, scored his second goal in the 93rd minute to make it 3-0. – TBP
