Bangladesh pace bowler Taskin Ahmed is ready for redemption as he is aiming for a good show in the upcoming T20 World Cup after being haunted by the terrible memories from the past two World Cups of the Tigers.

Taskin’s crying face at the gates of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium after the announcement of the team for ICC World Cup 2019 is yet to be faded away from the memory of sports lovers.

He was also sent back home in the middle of the 2016 ICC World T20 for illegal bowling action.

The pace bowler then took the path of redemption by improving fitness under a personal trainer and made his comeback to the national team, and eventually to the national contract of BCB in all three formats.

He left for Saudi Arabia on Thursday along with fellow cricketers Mohammad Naim Sheikh, Taijul Islam, Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan and Mohammad Saifuddin to perform Umrah.

Before leaving, Taskin told the media about his past sorrow and present excitement.

“To tell the truth, the two occasions had different emotions, which are totally opposite. I don’t want to think about the past, I am focusing on the future”, he said.
