Rain stops play after Irfan’s half-century

Rain stopped the second day’s play of the four-day match between the Bangladesh `A’ team and the BCB High-Performance team at Chattgram in the afternoon when the HP team was 41-3 on Friday.

The `A’ team were all-out for 339 runs in 124.1 overs after adding 79 more runs with an overnight score of 260-5. Irfan Shukkur scored 85 runs.

Suman Khan was the most successful bowler for the HP team with a bowling figure of 4-56.

In reply, the HP team were 41-3 when the rain stopped play at 3:23 PM, later the day’s play was called off at 4:00 PM.

Tanzid Hasan was unbeaten on 21, while Towhid Hridoy was yet to open his account. Off-spinner Nayeem Hasan took two wickets. – TBP
