Bangladesh archer Diya Siddiqyue tested Covid-19 positive ahead of her participation in the World Archery Championship 2021 in South Dakota in the USA.
She is currently in isolation, Bangladesh Archery Federation informed.
All the other members of the squad tested negative and participated in the qualification round on Tuesday.
Bangladesh have sent a contingent of nine members to the World Archery Championship including six players. The six players are - Ruman Shana, Ram Krishna Saha, Hakim Ahmed Rubel, Diya, Beauty Roy and Asim Kumar Das.
Earlier this year, Diya had participated in the Tokyo Olympics but failed to win a match as she lost her first match to Belarus’ Karyna Dziominskaya in the tie-breaker. – TBP
