Bangladesh under-19 cricket team were all-out for 162 runs in their first innings of the Youth Test against the Afghanistan u-19 team on Wednesday at Sylhet.
In reply, the Afghans were 40-2 at the end of the first day’s play, trailing by 122 runs.
Bangladesh youth team captain Aich Mollah won the toss and elected to bat first. The openers had a decent start but could not prolong their innings, and the lower-middle order collapsed against the bowling of Bilal Sami, who took five wickets. From 117-3, Bangladesh were all-out for 162, losing the last six wickets for only 45 runs. Mollah was the top-scored with 39 runs, and Iftekhar Hossain scored 37 runs.
Afghanistan u-19 scored 40 runs in the remaining 23 overs of the day losing two wickets. – TBP
