Bangladesh cricket team players are out of quarantine as all of them came out negative after arriving in Oman to take part in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Hurricane Shaheen scrambled the flight schedules in Oman that delayed the flight carrying the national team players, but they all reached safely. After serving one day of the in-room quarantine, the cricketers stepped into the practice field on Tuesday afternoon local time.
The practice schedule of the Tigers in Oman has also been circulated to the media. According to the schedule, the Bangladesh team will train for three days at the Oman Cricket Academy ground before facing the Oman A team in a practice match on October 8.
The practice match will take place at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium, which is the venue for the matches of the T20 World Cup.
The coaching staff also joined the team in Oman as the head coach Russel Domingo, Pace Bowling coach Ottis Gibson and spin bowling coach Rangana Herath were visible in the footage provided by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
After completing three days of training and playing the warm-up match, the Bangladesh team will head for Abu Dhabi on October 9 and will be in quarantine for the following day.
The next day the Tigers will go for practice before the first warm-up which will take place on October 12 against Sri Lanka, and the second warm-up match will be against Ireland on October 14.
Then the Tigers will head back to Oman for the preliminary round of the T20 World Cup, where they will start the campaign against Scotland on October 17.
After their match against Scotland, the Tigers will take on hosts Oman on October 19 before facing Papua New Guinea on October 21.
Bangladesh cricketers Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman are yet to join the side in Oman as they are currently featuring in the Indian Premier League in UAE. They are likely to join after October 7 when the first round of the IPL ends.
