Sri Lanka managed to hold India to a 0-0 draw in a SAFF Championship match on Thursday to earn their first point in this year’s edition.
This leaves India with two points from two games after consecutive draws against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
India were the dominant side in the match with 11 shots, but they failed to make them count as the match ended goallessly. They also had 12 corners, but none of them caused any trouble to the Sri Lankan defence.
This leaves Bangladesh in a comfortable second spot as the red and greens have four points from their first two games. – TBP
