England-born striker Yousuf Zulqurnain Hoque arrived in Bangladesh on Tuesday to join the Under-23 National team camp for the upcoming qualifiers of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2022.
The 18-year-old striker plays for the Under-18 side of Ipswich Town, an English club playing in the League One of England, the third tier of English football.
He is the only foreign-based player called up to the preliminary squad.
The camp is currently taking place at Dhaka Abahani’s stadium in Dhanmondi.
Bangladesh will face Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Kuwait in their qualifiers from October 25 to October 31. – TBP
