PCB declares bonus for win vs India

Pakistan Cricket Board has declared a hefty bonus for their players taking part in the ICC T20 World Cup if they can defeat archrivals India on Sunday.

Pakistan is yet to defeat India at any cricket World Cup.

According to Cricket Pakistan, each player of the team will receive 50% of the match fee as a bonus if they can defeat India in Dubai.

Earlier, the PCB president Ramiz Raza said, “a blank cheque is ready for the PCB if Pakistan beats India in the upcoming T20 World Cup”.

As India and Pakistan don’t play bilateral series due to political turmoil between both countries, the two teams only meet in global or continental events. India beat Pakistan in the final of the first edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007.

Though the PCB has declared a huge bonus, betting odds are favouring India due to their recent track records. Betting websites like bet365, 1xbet, Parimatch are offering odds like 1.45, 151 for India while they are offering 2.52, 2.75 in favour of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the ticket price for the match is rocketing as all the tickets were sold within half an hour. Now re-sellers are asking four to five times the actual price for a match ticket.

Advertisement rates for TV channels broadcasting the match and online streaming sites also shoot up. – TBP
