Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has been on fire on Twitter as he put out a few burning banters as Pakistan made a flying start to the T20 World Cup in UAE with two wins from two.
After thrashing India by 10 wickets in the first match, New Zealand were Pakistan’s latest victim as they emerged victorious by five wickets on Tuesday.
New Zealand, in September, pulled out of a series against Pakistan citing security reasons. Their withdrawal then also led to England not touring Pakistan for a white-ball series.
Akhtar, during Pakistan’s match against New Zealand, urged the Pakistani fans to not make too much noise as that might lead to the Blackcaps asking for the match to be called off.
“I request all Pakistan fans to remain silent and not enjoy too extravagantly. There is every chance that New Zealand may ask for the match to be called off due to too much noise inside the stadium, if not for security concerns,” Shoaib wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday.
Later on, the former pacer posted another Tweet similar to his fast yorkers saying that the New Zealand players need security inside the ground.
“I think today NZ needs security inside the ground,” Shoaib wrote. – TBP
