Bangladesh-Seychelles match rescheduled again

Rain once again forced to make changes in the schedule of Mahinda Rajapaksa four-nations football tournament as the match between Bangladesh and Seychelles is shifted to Wednesday.

This is for the second time the match schedule has been changed, initially the match was scheduled to take place on November 8 and later it was pushed back to November 9 but heavy rain caused the delay once again.

Now, according to the latest information from Bangladesh Football Federation, the match will take place on Wednesday at 4-30 PM local time.

Ahead of the match, Bangladesh team footballers had a training session at the local Police Park ground.

This will be Bangladesh’s first match after their draw against Nepal in the SAFF Championship, a result that denied them a place in the final.

Seychelles are currently ranked 199 in the FIFA rankings, 12 steps behind Bangladesh. Bangladesh have gone into the tournament with a new coach Mario Lemos after Bangladesh Football Federation failed to hold on to Oscar Bruzon for more than the SAFF Championship.

Sri Lanka and Maldives are the other two teams taking part in this tournament. The two teams faced in the opening match on Tuesday.

The match ended in a 4-4 draw, Sri Lanka’s W. Razeek scored all the five goals for his side.
