The T20 team of Pakistan, which arrived in Dhaka straight from the UAE after crashing out from the ICC T20 World Cup will start their training on Monday.
Pakistan had a training session on Sunday, but they have cancelled the session. The team will start training today at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.
On Monday, the Pakistan team will train from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the BCB NCA ground. They will also follow the same timing on Tuesday. And after that, on November 17 and 18, the Pakistan team will train in the afternoon.
The three-match T20I series will begin on November 19, with all the matches starting at 2 PM in the noon.
Pakistan’s squad for the T20I series against Bangladesh includes four additional players from their T20 World Cup campaign, and Iftikhar Ahmed replaced Mohammad Hafeez, who opted out of this tour.
Iftikhar told the reporters that despite missing out on the T20 World Cup campaign, he is high on spirits.
“I have joined the squad, and spirits are too high here. This is my second visit to Bangladesh, and they are a cricket-loving nation. We received a warm welcome here at the Airport yesterday (Saturday),” he said.
The middle-order batsman told the media that he was very eager the start working with the whole team.
“We are starting our training sessions from tomorrow, and I would like to continue my good form here too. Doing well in PSL and National T20 has given me a lot of confidence,” Iftikhar said in a video message on Sunday.
Pakistan’s pacer Hasan Ali who dropped the catch of Mathew Wade in the tensed semi-final also sought apologies.
“I know you all are upset because my performance did not meet your expectations from me but not more disappointed than me. Don’t change your expectations from me. I want to serve Pakistan cricket at the highest level possible, so back to work hard. This patch will make me stronger so Alhamdulillah,” he wrote on Twitter.
