Barishal and Rajshahi are the two winners in round five of the ongoing National Cricket League where both the Tier-1 matches ended in draws.
The matches at Sylhet international cricket stadium main ground and academy ground produced results, while both matches at BKSP ended in a stalemate.
Liton Das, after being snubbed from the national team, scored 24 runs in the only innings of Rangpur. Soumya Sarkar, another dropout from the national team, scored a half-century (57) for his side Khulna against Sylhet in the first innings.
At Sylhet, Barishal beat Dhaka Metro by seven wickets, though they could win the match by an even bigger margin as the target was only 65 runs in their second innings.
Rajshahi defeated Chattogram by a big margin of 166 runs, a century by Pinak Ghosh (102) was not enough to save the port-city side as spinners Sunzamul Islam took four wickets while Saqlain Sajib bagged three.
