Abahani take sweet revenge

Abahani took sweet revenge against archrivals Mohamedan in the Super League phase of the Premier League Hockey as they beat the Black and Whites 4-2 on Tuesday.

In their previous meeting in the Premier League, Abahani lost 4-0 against Mohamedan.

Khorshed scored the first goal for Abahani from a penalty corner but after a few minutes, Mohamedan’s Argentine recruit Gonzalo Peillat equalized from a penalty corner.

Arshad Hossain again made the scoreline 2-1 in favor of Abahani and Khorshed scored his second to make it 3-1.

Peillat found his second goal from one more penalty corner and minimized the distance but in late hours Mohamedan wasted a few chances to equalize.

Bjorn Kellerman, a Dutch hockey star playing for Abahani scored the fourth goal for his team and ensured victory.
