Young Tigers reach Kolkata for tri-series

Bangladesh under-19 cricket team members have reached Kolkata to take part in a tri-series at the historic Eden Gardens on Tuesday.

The young Tigers will take part in the upcoming U-19 World Cup, taking
place in the West Indies on January-February.

Bangladesh are the defending champions and to defend the title the young Tigers have gone through some tough challenges which include home series against Afghanistan and an away series in Sri Lanka.

Before the U-19 World Cup, this is the last pit-stop for young Tigers as they will face two youth teams from India in a tri-series, taking place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The game development manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board AEM Kawser told The Business Post that the team members have to go through a three-day quarantine before taking on the fields,

“The boys have reached Kolkata. Now they will be in quarantine for three days”, he said.

The series kicks off on November 28 with the match between India U-19 A and India U-19 B.

On 29th, Bangladesh U-19 will play India U-19 A in their opening match, all the teams will face each other two times in the tri-series. The top two teams will meet in the final, scheduled to take place on December 7.
