Bangladesh under-19 team have defeated India U-19 A team by six runs in their third match of the tri-series, taking place at the Eden Gardens Kolkata on Thursday.
India U-19 A team won the toss and send Bangladesh U-19 to bat first.
Half-centuries from Prantik Nowrose (62) and Mahfijul Islam (56) helped Bangladesh U-19 to post a decent total of 230 before they were all out in 47.2 overs.
Nishant Sindhu and Garv Sangwan picked up two wickets each.
On the chase, Agnkrish Raghuvanshi played an anchor role who scored 88 runs from 119 balls but he did not receive enough support from his teammates to take the team to the winning post.
India U-19 A kept losing wickets at the other end and they were all out for 224 runs in 49.4 overs.
Tanzim Hasan Shakib took three wickets for 29 runs while Meherob Hasan took three wickets for 36 runs.
The top two teams of this triangular tournament will play in the final and Bangladesh U-19 almost secured their place in the final as they have won three out of three so far. Bangladesh U-19 have one more match to go, against India U-19 B on December 4 and then the final will take place on December 7.
