As the tropical cyclone, Jawad is approaching the coasts, the weather of Dhaka is becoming much inappropriate for cricket, and after an early call-off on day one, only 38 balls were allowed on day two of the ongoing Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Drizzle, wet outfield, and overcast conditions with low light did not allow the umpires to start the second day’s play till 12:50 PM on Monday, though the original start time was 9:30 AM.

After several inspections, the day’s play finally commenced but lasted only 30 minutes. And during that period, only 38 balls were bowled.

Pakistan added 27 more runs with their overnight score of 161-2, ending the short-lived day on 188-2 from 63.2 overs.

Azhar Ali reached his half-century, he was unbeaten on 52 runs, and skipper Babar Azam was unbeaten on 71 runs.

Rainy days in school sometimes offer a sudden holiday, allowing the kids to become playful. The cricketers and the broadcasters also had a rare day in their busy schedule when they had nothing to do.

Some of the broadcast crew members started playing cricket in the corridors of the ground floor of the Media Center of SBNCS. Mushfiqur Rahim took an umbrella and walked past the ground to hit the indoors one more time.

Shakib Al Hasan was again at the centre of attention for his off-field activities. He sent a letter to the BCB for giving him leave during the upcoming tour of New Zealand while the selectors have picked him in the squad.

BCB is yet to give the final verdict on this matter, but Shakib looked relaxed as if nothing was happening outside.

Like a schoolboy, Shakib jumped on the wet plastic pitch cover and to have a slide on a rainy day.

Mominul looked serious while talking to the umpires, but the rain might save him from some humiliation as the chances of rain is also high on Tuesday, and the chances of this Test match producing any result are looking bleak.
