Bangladesh to face Bhutan today

Bangladesh will face Bhutan in their second match of the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship 2021 on Monday at the Shahid Sipahi Mostofa Kamal Stadium.

The hosts started the tournament with a goalless draw against Nepal while Bhutan had a flying start as they beat Sri Lanka by 5-0.

Coach of Bangladesh U-19 Women’s team, Golam Rabbani told the reporters that to stay in the title race it’s a must win game against Bhutan,

“We have to win this game. To be the champion, we must gain the winning momentum from this match. We were unlucky, we had plenty of chances but we could not convert them into a goal”, he said on Sunday. The coach also said that he is not going to bring any changes in the team formation.

“We played with 4-4-2 formation in the match against Nepal, we will also play in the same formation against Bhutan. Whatever the formation is, we have no scarcity of scorers”

“If the luck is on our side, anybody can score. But if we are unlucky, then no goal will come. Hopefully luck will be by our side in the game against Bhutan”, Rabbani told the reporters.
