Bangabandhu and Bangamata Volleyball to start tomorrow

Two international volleyball tournaments—Bangabandhu Men’s Challenge Cup and Bangamata Women’s Challenge Cup—will kick off in Dhaka from December 23.

In the men’s pool, five teams are taking part while six teams are participating in the women’s pool.

The title of the men’s tournament is the Bangabandhu Asian Central Zone Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup while the title of the women’s tournament is Bangamata Asian Central Zone Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup.

All the matches of these two tournaments will take place at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.

The opening ceremony will take place on December 23 at 3PM and the closing ceremony will take place on December 28 at the same venue and time.

On opening day, the Bangladesh men’s team will take on Maldives while in the women’s pool, Bangladesh women’s team will face Kirgizstan.

The tournament will run in a round-robin format, the top two teams will play in the final.
