BCB North Zone beat Islami Bank East Zone in their final match of the league stage of the 22nd Bangladesh Cricket League by six wickets at the Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Tuesday.
East Zone were bowled out for 166 in their first innings, and after North Zone posted 310 in their first innings, they were already in trouble.
East Zone managed 254 in their second, but that proved to be insufficient as North Zone chased down the meagre target of 111 within only 28 overs.
North Zone is now waiting for the result of the other match between BCB South Zone and Walton Central Zone, which is heading towards a draw.
After Central Zone posted 481 in their first innings, South Zone ended the third day with 381-5 on their board. Amite Hasan and Towhid Hridoy both picked up centuries. If this match ends in a draw, these two teams will qualify for the final. – TBP
