Fazalhaq Farooqi was quite an unknown name when the Dhaka franchise picked him during the BPL’s Players’ draft. Tamim Iqbal, after the draft, dropped some hint by saying, “In recent times I have heard good things about him. He has done well in the T-10 league, hopefully, he will do well here.”
That mystery bowler finally joined the Minister Dhaka team after playing his first one-day International for Afghanistan. Farooqi is a left-arm medium-pacer, who worked as a net bowler in the Indian Premier League for Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings. He also played in the Lanka Premier League where he picked six wickets in five matches.
