Five from Bangladesh in IPL auction list

Five cricketers from Bangladesh finally found their way into the IPL 2022 Player Auction List announced on Tuesday.

They are; Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Liton Das, and Shoriful Islam,

The Indian Premier League governing body revealed the 2022 Player Auction list with a total of 590 cricketers who are set to go under the hammer during the two-day mega auction which will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, 2022.

This will be the 15th season of the IPL and some of the biggest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament.

Amongst 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations.

INR 2 crore is the highest reserve price and as many as 48 players have chosen to place themselves in this bracket. There are 20 players in the auction list with a reserve price of INR 1.5 crore while 34 players are on the list of cricketers with a reserve price of INR 1 crore.

Both Shakib and Mustafiz have INR two crore as base price and Liton, Shoriful and Taskin have the base price of 50 lakh rupees. Out of 220 foreign cricketers, only 70 will make their entry into the IPL as there are limited slots for foreign players in a team.
