India down Aussies to face England in final

India Under-19 national cricket team defeated Australia in the second semi-final of the ICC U-19 World Cup by 96 runs on Wednesday to set up a final clash with England.

India skipper Yash Dhull was the star of the show as he struck a magnificent hundred to help India post 290-5 onboard before Australia were bowled out for 194.

India had a slow start, but a massive 204-run partnership between Dhull and Shaik Rasheed set them up for a strong finish, which was provided by Dinesh Bana, who scored 20 off just four deliveries. Dhull scored 110 off 110 deliveries, whereas Rasheed missed out on a hundred, getting out on 94.

In reply, Australia never really got off the mark as they could not put together partnerships and lost wickets regularly. Only Lachlan Shaw managed to score a fifty, and they were bowled out for 194.

Vicky Ostwal picked up three wickets for India, with Ravi Kumar and Nishant Sindhu picking up two each.

Australia will now face Afghanistan in the 3rd place match today, while India will take on England in the final on Saturday.
