Tigers to start SA tour on March 18

The three-match one-day international series between South Africa and Bangladesh will start on March 18 at SuperSport Park, Centurion, a media release from Cricket South Africa said.

Bangladesh will tour South Africa right after they complete the ODI and Twenty20 International series against Afghanistan at home. The series will conclude on March 4.

The Tigers will get only a fortnight between their last T20 against Afghanistan and first ODI against the Proteas, as the series starts from March 18.

The second ODI of the series will take place on March 20 at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. For the third ODI of the series, both teams will again lock horns at the SuperSport Park, Centurion, on March 23.

All the matches are day-night and will start from 1300 hours local time.

After the ODI series, both the teams will switch to Test mode for a two-match series.

The first Test will take place at Kingsmead, Durban from March 31 to April 4.

The second and final Test will be played at the St. George’s Park Cricket Ground, Gqeberha from April 8 to 12.

All the ODIs are part of the ICC Men’s World Cup Super League and the Test matches are part of the ICC World Test Championship.
