Bangladesh national cricket team arrived in Chattogram on Sunday ahead of their three-match One-Day International series against Afghanistan, starting on Wednesday.
Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman did not travel with the team as they were given a day-off after they played in the final of the recently-concluded Bangladesh Premier League.
The Afghanistan team arrived in Chattogram on Sunday morning after completing their one-week training camp in Sylhet.
Before leaving for Chattogram, Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz and fast bowler Taskin Ahmed spoke with the media.
“The team plan will be simple and will focus on doing the good things we have done in the past to win,” Miraz said.
Taskin said, “I will try to respond to the team plans and execute to the best of my abilities. I want to follow the same processes that have worked for me. Whatever we did in the past is done, and we have to start anew.”
The first ODI between the sides will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on February 23. The other two matches will be on February 25 and 28.
