Bangladeshi booters to play two friendlies in March

Bangladesh Football team is to play two friendly matches in the window between 21st and 29th March, said a Bangladesh Football Federation official.

The national team’s committee chairman at the BFF, Kazi Nabil Ahmed told the media that Bangladesh will play against Maldives and Mongolia next month,

“Bangladesh will play against the Maldives at their home on March 24. They will return home on March 25 and head straight to Sylhet. At Sylhet District Stadium, Bangladesh will play against Mongolia”, he said on Tuesday.

To utilize the FIFA Friendlies window in March, BFF was trying to contact countries like Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Maldives.

Finally, they managed to seal the deals with Maldives and Mongolia.

The Maldives is the highest-ranked team among these three, their current ranking is 157. Mongolia is on 184 and Bangladesh is on 186.

Possibly, with these two friendly matches, the new head coach Javier Cabrera will start his journey in the new role. – TBP
