Bangladesh national women’s team captain Nigar Sultana Joty believes that early arrival and advice from the men’s team has helped them to prepare well for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 in New Zealand.
Nigar praised her team members for quickly adapting to the conditions in New Zealand and has drawn inspiration from Bangladesh Men’s test triumph against The Kiwis at Mount Maunganui earlier this year.
She said, “We have had a lot of quality practice sessions here, we are trying to assess the wicket and, in the conditions, I think our girls have done very well”, said the Bangladesh captain.
Nigar revealed that she has received counsel on how to perform in New Zealand conditions from some of the players from the Men’s team.
“We do have some good relations with some of the players so they shared a lot of experience about the conditions and how we’re going to the play here.’’she said.
