Rashid denies Lahore's offer

Rashid Khan has been playing for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League but had to end his stint a bit early to take part in the Bangladesh series.

He last played for Lahore on February 19, against Islamabad United, and left for Bangladesh to take part in the three-match One Day International series followed by two Twenty20 matches.

Despite losing the legspinner in the crucial stage, Lahore still managed to make it to the final as they have beaten Islamabad United by six runs in the second qualifier of the PSL.

Lahore will play against Multan Sultans in the final on Sunday. The team wanted to have Rashid in the team for the very important final as the bowler plucked 13 wickets in nine matches.

But Rashid clarified via Twitter that he is preferring national team duty, “It would’ve been great to be part of Lahore Qalandars and play alongside lads in the PSL T20 final. I won’t be able to make it for the finals due to National Duty which is always the first priority”, wrote the Afghan cricketer. – TBP
