Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Ltd came out victorious 2-1 against Chattogram Abahani Ltd in the Bangladesh Premier League Football 2022.
Jamal striker Solomon Kanform scored the opener in the 29th minute in a sensational strike from 35 yards out of the box.He doubled Jamal’s lead in the second-half,putting the ball in net after the Abahani goalkeeper failed to gather the ball. Thankgod held off the defender in the box and finished a low-driven cross as Chattogram got a goal back late in the 83rd minute but it wasn’t enough as it ended 2-1 after 90 minutes.
In the second match,Abahani Dhaka Ltd won 2-1 against Saif Sporting Club.
Defender Bayisenge gave Saif the lead in the 69th minute but it was cancelled out by Abahani’s Dorielton in the 75th minute. A draw was on the cards but Abahani’s Daniel Colindres scored deep into stoppage time to clinch a victory for Dhaka Abahani,who now sits in second position with 16 points after Table topper Bashundhara Kings(18).
In the Bangladesh Championship League 2021-22,Uttara Football Club Ltd played against Fortis Football Club Ltd in a goalless draw.
