Akbar loses top spot in Chattogram Open

Bangladeshi golfer Md Akbar Hossain lost his overnight top spot in round three of the PGTI Chattogram Open on Friday as India’s Kshitij Naveed Kaul took over first place.

Akbar ended the second day with 11-under 133, but a below-par 73 on the third day saw him slip down to second, where he is tied with compatriot Siddikur Rahman and Chirag Kumar. All three of them have a total of 10-under 206.

Siddiqur moved up two spots on the third day with a score of 69, while Chirag moved up five places with a score of 66.

Naveed, who currently sits top, scored a brilliant 63 on the third day to end the day at 15-under 201.

The total prize money for this tournament is 50 lakh Indian Rupees. – TBP
