Bangabandhu Cup Kabadi starts March 19

Bangladesh will host the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabadi for the second time as the tournament will start on March 19 at the Shaheed Nur Hossain National Volleyball Stadium and Dhaka Kabadi Stadium.

Eight teams will play in the six-day tournament- defending Champions Bangladesh, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iraq, and England. Poland were also supposed to take part but withdrew at the last moment because of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, whereas Argentina could not come as they failed to find a sponsorship.

The teams will arrive in Bangladesh on March 16 and 17.

The teams will be split into two groups and play in the group stage. The top two teams will qualify for the semi-finals. – TBP
