Bangladesh national men’s hockey team thrashed Kazakhstan 8-1 in their semi-final match of the AHF Asia Cup on Saturday to reach the final.
Bangladesh scored six out of their eight goals from penalty corners. Four goals were scored by the player of the match Ashraful Islam.
Khorshedur scored a brace, while the other goals came from Russel Mahmud Jimmy and Sohanur Rahman,
The last three times Bangladesh played this tournament in 2008, 2012, and 2016, they won all of them. They will face Oman, who beat Sri Lanka in the other semi-final, in their quest for the fourth title on Sunday. – TBP
