Bangladesh win TT gold in Maldives

Bangladesh won their first-ever gold medal in the Under-19 category of the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship as they beat Sri Lanka 3-2 in the final.

The Bangladesh team consisted of three members- Muhtasin Ahmed Hridoy, Ramhim Lian Bom, and Nafis Iqbal.

Bangladesh won the first two matches, but then Sri Lanka came back by winning the next two. But Hridoy managed to hold his nerve and win the final match to secure the gold for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh beat Pakistan, hosts Maldives, and Nepal to reach the final. – TBP
