BCB hopeful about TV broadcast

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s chairman of the media committee, Tanvir Ahmed Titu told the journalists on Saturday that the BCB can hardly do anything to resolve the broadcast crisis of the West Indies- Bangladesh series.

“When we take part in an away series, everything regarding the broadcast issues depends on the host board or the rights holders. From our side, we can’t do much officially but verbally we can request them”, Titu told the media on Saturday.

He hopes that TV channels will come forward to broadcast the matches in Bangladesh,

“I hope that our TV channels who generally show live cricket will step up and communicate with the broadcasters to find a resolution”, he said.

“It’s not only the cricket board, we all want to see the Bangladesh cricket team’s match on TV but for the away series everything depends on the concerned country’s broadcast rights holders.  I hope that TV channel owners will find a way, there is no room for the BCB to officially request, pressurize or pursue”, said the BCB director. – TBP
