Pogba joins ATK Mohun Bagan

Florentin Pogba, elder brother of French International Paul Pogba, joined Indian Super League side ATK Mohun Bagan on a two-year deal, the club confirmed on Saturday.

The 31-year-old centre-back, who played for Ligue 2 club FC Sochaux, was signed by Mohun Bagan to wall up their defence ahead of their AFC Cup semi-final in September and the ongoing ISL.

“F. Pogba is Green Maroon,” the club posted on Facebook.

Florentin has a twin brother, Mathias Pogba, also a footballer, plays for ASM Belfort in the French fourth tier.

Paul is the youngest of the three and though he plays for France in International duty, both Florentin and Mathias represent Guinea at the international level.

Florentin was born in Guinea but grew up in France and began his professional career with French club CS Sedan. He made his Ligue 1 debut in 2013 after joining Saint-Etienne. – TBP
