Sk Jamal rescues draw against Saif

Sheikh Jamal DC managed to rescue a late draw against Saif Sporting Club in the Bangladesh Premier League football on Friday.

Sheikh Jamal’s Sohanur Rahman broke the deadlock in the 36th minute when he headed it in from a corner.

But Saif’s centre-back Emery Bayisenge converted a spot-kick in the 76th minute to level the score.

Saif thought they had clinched the game when their Uzbek midfielder Asror Gafurov scored in the 91st minute.

Gafurov brilliantly went past Sheikh Jamal centre-back Rayhan Hossain and nestled in a neat finish across the goal.

But their celebrations were short-lived as Sheikh Jamal found a comeback in the last minute of stoppage time.

It was their goal scorer Sohanur, who had won the penalty and it was smartly finished by their skipper Otabek Valizhonov, rescuing a vital point. – TBP
