Bangladesh national cricket team will start their Asia Cup 2022 campaign by facing Afghanistan on August 30 in Sharjah.

The Asian Cricket Council revealed the fixtures of the Asia Cup 2022, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday.

Bangladesh are in Group B along with Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, while India and Pakistan are in group B along with a team from the qualifiers. UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong will fight it out in the qualifiers to bag that final spot.

The Tigers will take on Sri Lanka in their second match on September 1 in Dubai.

This upcoming edition of the Asia Cup will be played in the Twenty20 format and will act as preparation for the sides for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.
