Sobhana leads Ctg to win

Middle-order batter Sobhana Mostary’s unbeaten knock of 52 off 45 balls, which included three fours and two sixes, helped set up a 12-run win for Chattogram Division over Dhaka Division in the Women’s National Cricket League 2022 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Chattogram posted 124-5 after being put into bat, but Dhaka failed to chase it down as their innings ended at 112-5.

At the Sylhet Academy Ground, Barisal Division cruised to a nine-wicket victory against Mymensingh Division.

Batting first, Mymensingh were restricted to 77-8, courtesy of Lily Rani Biswas, who scalped three wickets for 21. In reply, Barisal batters Sharmin Supta and Nigar Sultana scored 38 and 25 runs respectively to take Barisal home.

Rangpur Division clinched their third win of the tournament against Sylhet Division in a four-wicket win at the SICS, and in the process went to the top of the table with six points.

Rumana Ahmed’s all-round exploits helped Khulna Division to a six-wicket win over Rajshahi Division at the Sylhet Academy Ground.
