Bangladesh were drawn in Group A of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup qualifiers along with Ireland, Scotland, and USA as the International Cricket Council revealed the fixtures for the eight-nation tournament which will run from September 18 to 25 in the UAE on Wednesday.
In Group B, hosts UAE will battle it out against Thailand, Zimbabwe, and Papua New Guinea.
The top two teams from each group will go through to the semi-finals, and both finalists will be guaranteed a place in next year’s World Cup hosted by South Africa, where they will be joined by Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and West Indies, and the hosts.
Bangladesh will take on Ireland on the opening day of the tournament at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. On the following day, they will face Scotland at the same venue and will play their final group-stage match against USA in Abu Dhabi on September 21.
