Bangladesh national cricket team will face Afghanistan and South Africa in the warm-up matches leading to the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.
Both matches will be at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, with the Tigers facing Afghanistan on October 17 and South Africa on October 19. None of the matches will be broadcast live.
Bangladesh have directly qualified for the T20 World Cup’s Super 12 stage, meaning they will start their official campaign on October 24 against a team which will qualify from the preliminary stage.
Bangladesh are in group 2 of the Super 12, where they are accompanied by India, Pakistan, and South Africa, along with two qualified teams from the preliminary stage.
Ahead of the World Cup, Bangladesh will travel to New Zealand later this month to attend a camp and a tri-nation series, where they will face the Blackcaps and Pakistan.
Among the other teams, hosts Australia will play their only official warm-up fixture against India on 17 October at The Gabba. In addition to Australia, India will face New Zealand on 19 October, also at The Gabba.
