Bangladesh Legends, a team formed with former cricketers lost their first match of the Road Safety World Series against West Indies Legends on Sunday.
Shahadat Hossain, captain of Bangladesh Legends won the toss and elected to bat first at Kanpur. But the batsmen could not make the opportunity count. Bangladesh Legends were bundled out for just 99 runs in 19.4 overs.
Dhiman Ghosh was unbeaten on 22*, and Alok Kapali scored 19 runs. Krishmar Santoki took three wickets, Dave Mohammad Suleiman Benn took two each.
In reply, a half-century from Dwayne Smith (51) helped the team to secure a victory by six wickets. The Caribbeans scored 101-4 in 15.2 overs. Alok Kapali, Dolar Mahmud and Abdur Razzak took one wicket each. – TBP
